Restaurants that closed in June in Toronto included a couple of restaurants for Italian food, as well as spots for Korean, sandwiches and breakfast food. It’s sad to see them go, and the communities they’re leaving behind won’t be the same without them.

Here are restaurants that have closed in Toronto in June.

Porchetta & Co.

This sandwich business closed down their location at 545 King St. W. right at the beginning of the month, but fortunately all is not lost as they have another location not far away at the Exchange Tower.

Ascari

The hospitality group behind this restaurant has already shut down their other spots, and now this restaurant that was in business for over 14 years has closed indefinitely. Locals are already missing their heartfelt Italian cuisine.

Lucia

This Italian restaurant in the Junction Triangle suddenly announced they were shutting down in June, but there’s a silver lining: the team behind Lucia is now opening similar restaurant Sal’s Kitchen in Little Italy.

Unnie

It was a short but sweet stint for this Korean restaurant at Yonge and Sheppard serving dishes like garlic cream shrimp, tonkatsu and bibimbap.

Cafe Neon

You’ll no longer be able to get breakfast at this restaurant on Queen West, but thankfully you’ll now be able to get the same cafe fare at Bar Neon on Bloor, as the operators are collapsing their two locations into one.
