Top 5 hottest bars in Toronto

The hottest bars in Toronto right now are making lists of some of the best bars in Canada and all of North America, and you’ll see why with just one visit. That is, when you can manage to get into one of these busy spaces.
Not only are the cocktails and interior design works of art, but the drinks are absolutely delicious and complex, the bartenders are masters of hospitality and the hype factor is through the roof.
Here are some of the hottest bars in Toronto right now.
5 – Slice of Life
A side entrance into this mysterious bar just off College immediately opens into a hall of mirrors that guides you into a dark and moody room.
Cocktails here are not only made with extreme ingenuity and creativity, but also hyper local ingredients from nearby farms and producers. For example, a take on a Ramos Gin Fizz is made with Rosewood honey and Harmony organic milk, and their espresso martini is made with De Mello coffee.
A highball is made with gin, canteloupe and vanilla yogurt for a complex spin on the drink that balances sweet, sour and light flavours.

4 – No Vacancy
Found on Ossington, this stylish bar is serving up beautiful cocktails and classy bar food. One of their prettiest drinks is the Seeing Green, made with Roku gin, Dillon’s peach, bianco vermouth, yuzu, cucumber, matcha and lavender, crowned with a thick and frothy cap of egg white foam and a dainty floral sprig. As for snacks, you can expect options that range from smaller items to full meals, like uni toast, katsu sandos, bucatini and a huge beef rib.

3 – Suite 115
Everything is shrouded in secrecy at this hot new College Street bar, from the secret code needed for entry to the ingredients in the drinks.
Many of the cocktails here come with a small edible component that really takes the mixology experience to the next level. The Old Man cocktail is made with a mystery spirit but tastes almost exactly like a boozy Hong Kong milk tea, as do a petite series of mini choux filled with a milk tea custard.

This is one of few cocktail bars that has a secret exit instead of a secret entrance, so you’ll never actually see anyone leave out the whimsical front door (which looks like a little piece of Art Nouveau era Paris on Queen West).
You know the drinks here are high quality as this is part of the empire of master bar kingpin Frankie Solarik, who is also behind equally hot Toronto bars BarChef and Compton Ave. Cocktails on the menu are divided into sections based on flavour profiles (say, herbal and refreshing versus bold and boozy) so it’s easy to decide which creation to try. A small selection of luxe snacks like lobster rolls and caviar service completes the picture.

1 – Bar Pompette
Not only has this College Street cocktail bar made lists of the best bars in Canada and North America, the same people also run a popular restaurant and bakery close by, so you know it’s legit.
Cocktails have distinctively French names like Cornichon and Cocktail de Paris, and there are options that feel like they distill complex flavour profiles into liquid forms. The Bakery Punch tastes like a cinnamon roll in the form of a cocktail, and their Nitro Colada is the purest form of an elevated pina colada.
The Cornichon is a perfect example of this, made with a deceptively simple combination of cornichon pickle distillate, gin, vermouth and dill oil that results in pure pickle flavour.
