Brampton now has its first ever seafood restaurant where it feels like you’re actually dining under the sea, surrounded by fish.
KC Boil is a seafood boil restaurant that’s taking their concept to the next level by surrounding their diners with aquariums for a totally underwater-themed experience.
Aquarium displays around the entire restaurant make it feel like you’re looking through windows into the bottom of the ocean. There are other touches like light fixtures that look like swarms of swirling fish, and KC Boil’s anchor logo branding that can be seen throughout the space.
Aside from the underwater theming, the interior design at KC Boil keeps things more classy than cheesy with lots of sleek surfaces and industrial-feeling materials that almost seem plucked from the design elements of a ship or submarine.
While dining in a themed environment that matches the menu is great fun, what you’re really there for is the food, and KC Boil holds up that end of the concept by serving tasty Cajun-style seafood boils.
They serve lobster, king crab legs, Dungeness crab, crawfish, snow crab legs and of course seafood boil trays. Their luxury seafood tray comes with king crab leg, lobster, black tiger shrimp, mussels, clams and a variety of vegetables.
They also serve preset combos, or if you’d prefer to customize your seafood boil to your liking they allow you to build your own as well.
What’s always customizable on the menu at KC Boil is your choice of blend and your choice of spice level when it comes to the seafood boil combo you’ve selected. For the choice of blend, you can opt for a house blend, cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter or curry. As for the spice level, you can choose a spice level that’s anywhere from non-spicy to mild, medium or fire.
Seafood boils are the backbone of KC Boil’s menu, but they also serve fried rice and a wide selection of appetizers including edamame, spring rolls, gyoza, takoyaki, coconut shrimp, calamari, beef short ribs, fries and oysters.
Their presentation is totally immaculate, too, and very on theme with food served on dishes that look like giant clam shells bubbling with dry ice. As if that weren’t enough, though, orders are also delivered right to your table by robot servers that are as video-worthy as the rest of the restaurant.
KC Boil can be found in Brampton at 168 Kennedy Rd. S.
