Toronto is full of wonderful neighbourhoods to explore, and you could spend an entire day in many of them doing just that. Liberty Village is one area you can easily eat your way through in a day, with its tight concentration of cafes and restaurants.

When it comes to where to get your morning coffee, Liberty Village has lots of options to choose from, but a couple are extra special.

The neighbourhood has a location of legendary Toronto indie cafe chain Balzac’s, which roasts their own beans and has a chill sense of design that creates a really relaxed atmosphere. There’s also Arvo, which not only makes excellent Aussie-style drinks but also serves a low key but pretty brunch every day.

Brunch

However, if what you want is a proper sit-down brunch, there are lots of options for that, too. One of the best is Mildred’s, which serves the fluffiest stacked-high blueberry pancakes, fancy croissant sandwiches and tasty Caesars.

Midday

Lunch

If you’re looking for a place where you can get a quick, easy and healthy lunch for dine-in or takeout, Liberty Village has you covered. Impact Kitchen serves health-focused eats in an airy, light-filled space, and imPerfect Fresh Eats has a small cute location where you can build your own healthy bowl.

Evening

Dinner

After eating healthy during the day, you’ve earned some of the city’s best burgers for dinner, and thankfully those are easy to find in Liberty Village. Burger Drops and Aloette both make bang-up burgers, and Aloette also has salads and bottles of wine to complete the picture.

However, if you’re looking to sit down and tuck into a hearty bowl of ramen with a beer, this neighbourhood has its own location of popular chain Kinton Ramen.

Dessert

Nani’s Gelato is a great option for those looking to end their night in Liberty Village on a sweet note. Their inventive flavours take things way beyond the average ice cream date.
