Chefs from a Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant that appeared on the TV show The Bear are coming to a Toronto restaurant soon for a high-profile event.

The Chicago restaurant is called Kasama (which has appeared on The Bear) and they’ll be popping up at AP Restaurant for a special event. Located on the 51st floor of the Manulife Centre, AP normally serves high-end Japanese cuisine such as sushi, but Kasama will be bringing their Filipino influences to the dining event.

The event is called The Stars Align, part of a dinner series put on in collaboration with booze brand Glenfiddich. For this affair, AP chef Antonio Park will work with Kasama chefs Genie Kwon and Timothy Flores to create an eight-course menu that showcases their talents and influences. Of course, Glenfiddich pairings will accompany the entire thing.

Guests will get a Glenfiddich welcome cocktail upon arrival. The meal will begin with pulutan of lumpia, chicharon and caviar from Kasama, then move on to a Chirashi Carre with ikura, toro, uni and salmon from AP. Next up is a pancit molo with duck and foie, followed by a salmon sinigang, both from Kasama. The fifth plate is a crispy amadai fish dish from AP and the sixth is a short rib kare kare from Kasama. The dinner will be finished off with sweet plates of a truffle croissant from Kasama and a turon from AP, paired with Glenfiddich 23-year-old Grand Cru.

Tickets are $175 for the dinner taking place on April 25, and they’ve been snapped up very quickly with very limited availability left for the event.
