A Matty Matheson restaurant that just recently shuttered its doors in Toronto is already being replaced by something new.
Perhaps it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the restaurant is already being replaced, as it was located in a bustling area of the city.
Ca Phe Rang recently closed in Toronto, a Vietnamese restaurant inspired by Matty Matheson’s mentor, Chef Rang. The restaurant served Vietnamese classics like banh mi, pho and noodle bowls, but unfortunately the concept closed down after less than five years in business.
Now, not long after the closure, Ca Phe Rang is already being replaced by something else.
The new restaurant that’s taking up residence in the old Ca Phe Rang space is one that’s been gaining steam in the area and expanding with more new locations: Oklahoma Burgers.
Oklahoma Burgers is known for their Oklahoma-style burgers, which are made with smashed thin patties and lots of griddled onions.
The new location of Oklahoma Burgers on Spadina Avenue should be opening sometime this month.
