Here are the Toronto restaurants just named some of Canada’s 100 Best

Canada’s 100 Best has named their restaurant picks for 2024, and tons of Toronto restaurants made the cut.

While Montreal restaurant Mon Lapin took the top spot, it was followed by many Toronto restaurants, and the list definitely has a strong Toronto presence.

Edulis, Alo and 20 Victoria clinch the number two, three and four spots. Edulis is a seafood restaurant with a focus on elaborate tasting menus, Alo is one of the hottest spots in town renowned for its refined takes on ingredients like Wagyu and caviar, and 20 Victoria’s multi-course menus emphasize local seafood and seasonal produce.

Mexican restaurant known for wood fire cooking Quetzal places at number 12, French restaurant Dreyfus takes the number 15 spot, Italian restaurant Giulia lands at number 17, and Matty Matheson steakhouse Prime Seafood Palace lands at number 18.

From there, Canoe is number 24, Taverne Bernhardt’s is 29, Sushi Masaki Saito is 30, Aburi Hana is 33, Casa Paco is 34, Mimi Chinese is 35 and their sibling restaurant Sunnys Chinese is 38. Spanish restaurant Bar Isabel and pasta factory Famiglia Baldassarre land at number 44 and 45.

Toronto’s Sushi Yugen is number 49, and Pompette and Giulietta take the number 65 and 66 spots. Actinolite lands at 70, Bar Prima takes 77, Don Alfonso 1890 is 81, Barberian’s is number 94, and DaiLo closes things out at number 99.

Year after year, Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants prove that there’s a whole lot of good eating to be done in this country, and thankfully, a lot of it can be done in Toronto.
