October 2025 brings with it another wave of Beer Store closures in Toronto and throughout Ontario. At least it feels like it makes a little sense during the scariest month of the year.

A swath of Beer Store locations will be closing down this month in Ontario, and along with that there will be a couple locations of the Beer Store in Toronto that will be closing their doors.

Beer Stores and locations of the LCBO were once the main sources for alcoholic beverages in Ontario, but now grocery stores and convenience stores have been permitted to sell alcohol within recent years.

Grocery stores and convenience stores in Ontario are now permitted to sell wine, beer and ready-to-drink cocktails.

There are two locations of the Beer Store that are closing in Toronto on Don Mills Road, and one on Gerrard East.

Their addresses are 900A Don Mills Rd., 3078 Don Mills Rd. and 800 Gerrard St. E.

“Where we sell beer and collect empties in Ontario is changing. The Beer Store is modernizing to meet the changing marketplace and unfortunately this means making the hard decision to close retail locations. We know this is difficult news for customers and employees,” said Ozzie Ahmed, Vice President Retail, TBS, in a press release.

“As The Beer Store modernizes, our locations will continue to provide friendly customer service and a deposit return system that gets consumers their money back.”

The other Beer Store locations that are closing this month are located at 882 Ward St. in Bridgenorth, 8647 Hwy. #60 in Eganville, 89 Main St. S. in Forest, 21 Ontario St. N. in Grand Bend, 398 King St. W. in Harrow, 53 Meredith St. E. in Little Current, 33 Argyle St. in Markdale, 142 David St. N. in Noëlville and 704 Main St. in Sauble Beach.

You can use the Beer Store’s store locator to find out where the nearest store is to you that is still open in your area of Ontario.

“The Beer Store recognizes the contributions our employees make to the business and in the communities where we operate. All efforts will be made to support employees through this process in alignment with commitments and agreements,” said Ahmed in the press release.

The last day for all the above Beer Store locations in Ontario will be Oct. 19.
