Afternoon tea tours on a pink double decker bus coming soon to Toronto

Toronto’s newest food experience that’s sure to go viral is a big pink double decker bus that will take passengers on afternoon tea tours around the city.

High Societea is a new concept where you’ll get to board a double decker bus and have a unique tea experience.

This isn’t just any standard double decker tour bus for city sight seeing. It’s a lovely light pink colour and comes equipped with a transparent glass room for an airier, roomier feel.

The bus tour roams around the city’s most iconic sights, all while serving tea, pastries and savoury bites as live violin music underscores the experience. The tea menu will consist of tea sandwiches, tarts, pastries, scones, cookies, cupcakes, macarons and eclairs.

There are two packages available for the double decker bus tour tea experience: a classic package for $125, and a signature package for $145.

The classic package includes a curated menu, sky deck seating with panoramic biews, a private table and a souvenir tea tumbler. The signature menu includes an enhanced curated menu, a seasonal mocktail or non-alocholic rose, and priority boarding, as well as the sky deck seating, private table and tumbler.

While the tour is certainly bound to be a wonderful and whimsical time, the idea sprung from a deep well of emotional bonding through the ceremony of sipping on tea.

“High Societea began from a lifetime of memories between my mother and I. Some of my most treasured memories growing up in South Africa are of the two of us sitting together over afternoon tea—talking about life, love, womanhood, and everything in between,” reads a description on the official website written by founder Veruschka Mungroo.

“Two years ago, my mum was diagnosed with dementia. Being far from home in Canada made it even more painful. Yet even now, there is one thing she still remembers—our mother-daughter afternoon tea time. It taught me that memories made with love are timeless and can live beyond time, beyond illness, beyond anything. High Societea was born from that truth—a space where every cup, every conversation, and every shared smile becomes a memory to be treasured forever. This is more than just a tour.
It is a journey of connection, of presence, and of beauty—an invitation to create moments that linger long after the last sip.”

You can now book dates for the tour bus that should be starting in early June.
