Summer means it’s time for fireworks, and one of the best places to see them in Ontario is over the thundering Niagara Falls.

Falls Fireworks Cruise is a 40-minute experience that takes you to the base of Horseshoe Falls to experience some truly iconic summer fireworks, and this year marks its 10th season.

The cruises are currently setting sail each weekend from Friday to Sunday, but they’ll soon be ramping up operations for the summer with daily cruises starting June 14.

Guests receive complimentary mist ponchos for the light mist cruise, and there’s on-board music to make the voyage extra epic.

The Falls Fireworks Cruise boards at the Lower Landing of the Great Gorge at 9:30 p.m. for an optimal dark sky fireworks viewing experience. Tickets are $38.50 for adults over 13 and $25.50 for children and are available to buy online.

“Nothing beats the experience of sailing to the base of the Falls, with a panoramic view of a starry sky, the iconic Niagara Falls skyline and, of course, fireworks lighting up the sky,” says Mory DiMaurizio, chief operating officer of City Cruises Canada, in a press release. “Since its debut a decade ago, the Falls Fireworks Cruise has become a favourite among guests.”

The Falls Fireworks cruise runs until Labour Day after which cruises shift back to a weekend schedule, with additional cruises for October 14 for Thanksgiving weekend which is when the fireworks displays end.
