A bar in Toronto is now serving a limited number of specialty cocktails garnished with a piece of a real meteorite.
Offworld Bar is already known for its out-there space theme, but they’re taking it to the next level with their new cocktail, The Meteorite.
The Meteorite is made using Remy Martin 1738, Tio Pepe, Grand Marnier and lemon juice, spritzed with yellow chartreuse and garnished with gooseberries and a lemon wedge, then topped with watermelon radish cradling a real slice of the Gibeon Meteorite.
The meteorite was discovered in Namibia in 1838, and was once the iron core of a shattered asteroid. Each cocktail is priced at $59 and comes with a certificate of authenticity proving the piece of meteorite is real.
Not only is Offworld launching this new cocktail, they’re also blasting off with a new food menu. The new menu combines French and Italian influences with dishes like arancini on top of spicy sausage ragu, grana padano fries with truffle aioli, a Thai red curry savoury panisse, Moroccan spiced short rib and pasta carbonara.
Offworld Bar was created by the same people behind nerd-themed bar Storm Crow Manor, and can be found at at 739 Queen St. W.
