Have to go to a lot of weddings this summer? Well, there’s one wedding party in town that’s not like the others.

This summer, you can head to the Old Mill for a wedding mystery dinner that’s unlike the multitude of other weddings the venue has hosted in the past, and you’ll want to save the date for this one.

Called The Wedding Party, the mystery dinner experience involves a three-course meal and eight live actors, and lasts about two hours. Within the average-wedding-sized group of about a hundred guests, you’ll work in teams to solve the mystery, and you’re welcome to dress in cocktail attire just like you would for a real wedding.

You’ve been invited to the wedding by Norah and Jack. Norah has sent you this note: “Darling, I know it’s been ages since you heard from me and it’s probably strange to get this invitation out of the blue. But, honestly, it really wouldn’t be the same without you. I can’t believe you haven’t met Jack (and my parents of course!). Love, Norah.”

The menu starts off with soup and bread, and then for your entree you get a choice of seafood linguine, herb marinated chicken supreme, vegan mushroom alfredo gnocchi or vegetarian eggplant parmigiana in tempura. For dessert, it’s your choice of a mini NY cherry cheesecake or a chocolate torte square.

The Old Mill is the perfect creaky, mysterious old venue to host this particular wedding. Its history stretches back to 1793, it has 16 ballrooms and it’s known as one of the most romantic restaurants in Canada.

General admission is $130 per person, and for $45 you can upgrade to a VIP package that includes a welcome drink, preferred seating, complimentary parking and a gift bag with a tote, tea, poster and pin.

The Wedding Party runs from July 12 to Aug. 31.
