Labour Day 2026 in Toronto marks the unofficial end of summer with one final long weekend before we put on our sweaters and start sipping pumpkin spice lattes. Labour Day falls on Sept. 7 this year, so be careful to note any unexpected changes in business hours.
As with every statutory holiday, many businesses, services, and attractions in the city will have altered hours or be closed altogether.
Whether you’re planning a shopping trip, looking for grocery stores that remain open, or hoping to explore Toronto’s top tourist destinations like the CN Tower, Toronto Zoo, or Casa Loma, you’ll want to know what’s open and closed on Labour Day Monday.
