“With this drive-thru location, we’re bringing our fresh, healthy products to our customers in a fast, convenient way, and with great customer service,” Booster Juice founder, president and CEO Dale Wishewan said.

Customers can also walk in and order if they want to, just like other Booster Juice locations.

“The approximately 1,400 sq. ft. location, built for speed, quality, and convenience, features a double lane drive-thru with five digital screens, which feature current promotions and campaigns, and a full menu for customers to quickly order from the comfort of their vehicle,” the release said.

In addition to the smoothies they’re known for, Booster Juice also serves other beverages, wellness shots, panini, wraps and their own signature energy balls they call “Booster Balls.”

The Booster Juice chain was originally founded by Dale Wishewan, who was born and raised in Waskatenau, Alberta.

“While travelling throughout the United States, he noticed the popularity of juice and smoothie bars, and quickly realized there was an opportunity in the crowded Canadian fast-food market to provide a healthier alternative to consumers with an active lifestyle,” reads the official Booster Juice website.

“Making his own protein concoctions for years, and with his interest in health and wellness, he made it a goal to bring fresh and healthy food to the Canadian market. The hard work began with his own home kitchen serving as the testing ground for one smoothie creation after another – including some of the most popular smoothies on our current menu! On Nov. 13, 1999, the very first Booster Juice location opened in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Due to the unique nature of the Booster Juice concept in the cold Canadian market where no one thought there would be a demand for icy smoothies, the chain became successful quickly, opening 15 stores within their first year of business. The brand kept growing from there, opening 35 more locations the second year.

There are now locations of Booster Juice that can be found in every province and territory, with more than 470 across Canada.

The new drive-thru Booster Juice is located in southwestern Ontario at the St. Clair Shores Shopping Centre on Amy Croft Drive in Lakeshore.
