A shop that’s been going viral in Toronto for its Italian sandwiches made with fluffy traditional bread has announced they’ll be opening a new location, and it’s coming soon.
Ariete e Toro is a viral Italian sandwich shop that opened its doors not long ago in Toronto, but they’ve been so well received and demand is so high for their delicious sandwiches that they’re already gearing up to open their second ever location in the city.
The sandwich shop bills itself as a “schiacciaterria artigianale,” as they make their sandwiches using a traditional Italian style of bread called schiacciata. It’s a large, flat bread that’s fluffy and crusty at the same time, and is kind of like focaccia but a little bit different. The most important part is, it’s perfect for making sandwiches.
Ariete e Toro has become widely known for their lineup of Italian sandwiches made with their signature schiacciata and their own personal creative twists. The Enzo has mortadella di Bologna, pistachio pesto, stracciatella cheese, chopped pistachios and lemon basil oil, the Rogo Rogo is made using prosciutto cotto, nduja cream, smoked provolone, caramelized onion, arugula, brown butter vinaigrette, and the Estella has spicy soppressata, black olive pine nut pesto, pepperonata, Italian fior di latte and greens.
The sandwich shop also lets you build your own sandwich, so if you want you can choose from high end ingredients like truffle salami, sun dried tomatoes, Italian artichokes, grana padano, bomba Calabrese, honey and chili oil.
The announcement that Ariete e Toro will be opening a second location in Toronto has been met with lots of enthusiasm from local people on social media, with many people commenting on how excited they are for the new location to open and start serving all kinds of delicious sandwiches in a totally brand new area.
The original first location for Ariete e Toro is located at 12 Keewatin Ave. in Toronto, not far away from the intersection of Yonge and Eglinton in the midtown area of the city. Now, they’re going to be opening a brand new location that’s much closer to downtown and the west end, making Ariete e Toro’s sandwiches more accessible to even more people in the big city of Toronto.
The second location for Ariete e Toro in Toronto should be opening around mid-March.
Ariete e Toro will be opening up their second location around the Dundas and Ossington area.
