Vendors have now been announced for a food festival that happens in the summer outside of one of Toronto’s busiest locations, Union Station.

Union Summer brings together local food vendors on a big patio outside the train station for a season of food, drinks and fun. Half a dozen booths will represent different foods from around the city, all perfect for enjoying outside in the sun in the heart of downtown.

The vendors for this year are Gus Tacos, Bao Mama, Slammie Sammies, Cleo’s Burgers, Wvrst and a Ninja booth with rotating chefs and food concepts.

It’s fairly obvious what each vendor serves based on their names, but the Ninja booth will be something a little different with three different chefs and restaurants serving curated menus made using Ninja’s new outdoor grills and ovens. They’ll be serving noodle bowls by chef Trevor Lui, jerk chicken by Roywoods and Middle Eastern cuisine by chef Suman Ali who is now the culinary partner at Bar Mordecai.

Gus Tacos and Bao Mama will be at Union Summer from June 24 to Aug. 25, Slammie Sammies and Wvrst will be there from June 24 to July 21, and Cleo’s Burgers and the Ninja booth will be operating from July 25 to Aug. 25.

It was also just announced that this year’s bar sponsor will be Malibu. The bar menu should include options like a Malibu Strawberry Spritz, Polar Ice Berry Blizzard Slushy or Malibu Pina Colada, plus Jacob’s Creek wine and Ace Hill beer.

There should also be more announcements coming about what to expect at Union Summer like a dessert booth and programming partners.

Union Summer runs from June 24 to Aug. 25 at Union Station’s Front St. Plaza in front of the station.
