Pasta gets an Asian twist at new spots that just opened up in Toronto.
Moon Pasta is now serving up rigatoni and fettucine with Asian influences alongside Vietnamese coffee and house made soda. Options on the menu include a green curry rigatoni with smoked duck, a sake rose rigatoni with salted egg yolk and nori, a butter gochujang fettuccine and a bo kho bolognese rigatoni, all priced at $15 or $16.
You can also get tiramisu as well as gelato. The locations for Moon Pasta actually used to be home to locations of Kekou gelato, but thankfully, the same gelato is still on the menu even though they’ve transformed. That means you can still snag pints of their gelato flavours like milk tea, almond tofu, hojicha and durian from Moon Pasta.
People seem to be responding positively to the new spot on social media, with one person on Instagram writing, “Excellent flavours, good portions, great noodle texture, and a generous amount of sauce.”
The location is quite small with basically no seating, so the restaurant is primarily a takeout spot, at least to start.
You can find Moon Pasta at 5359 Yonge Street in North York and at 505 Hwy 7 in Thornhill.
