Some of Toronto’s top chefs have just opened a brand new restaurant of their very own inside an adorable house.
Bar Eugenie is the brainchild of Rebekah Bruce, Ronnie Fishman and Lee Bonds of Alo, one of Toronto’s hottest and most well-respected restaurants which was awarded one star by the Michelin Guide.
The new project is housed inside what at first looks almost just like any other residence in the quiet neighbourhood. Step inside, and you’ll find the space is now anything but.
The menu is simple but sophisticated, leading you through small plates celebrating ingredients like heirloom tomato and artichoke to dishes like peppercorn squid, lamb tartare, bone marrow and tagliatelle, then on to larger plates like halibut and an eight-ounce flat iron steak. Finish off with desserts like soft serve, chocolate cake and peach cobbler.
You can also buy out the entire little space for groups of 16 to 20.
Bar Eugenie is now open at 89 Harbord St.
