A popular local mini chain of burger restaurants is adding two new locations to its local empire.

Rudy is known for their smash burgers, and also makes chicken sandwiches, poutine and shakes. They started out with a location on College Street, and ballooned to five locations from there.

The restaurant now also has locations on the Danforth, Duncan Street, Eglinton Avenue and the Queensway. Now, they’re opening two new restaurants in Ontario, and one of them should be opening this month.

Rudy recently announced around the end of June they would be opening in Vaughan. They also had announced a while back in early March that they’re opening a location in Barrie.

“It’s been over three years since we opened our last store,” reads a post announcing the opening of the Barrie location. “Time to get back at it!!”

The Barrie location should be opening at 114 Dunlop St. E., and they’re hoping for a summer opening though an official date hasn’t been announced yet.

Rudy’s location in Vaughan at 9960 Dufferin St. should be opening in late July.
