The most highly anticipated restaurants that are expected to open in 2026 in Toronto have all of the food lovers in the city salivating to see what’s next. It’s always exciting to hear about all the new openings that are yet to come in Toronto, and it’s even more satisfying to check them out when they finally arrive to see if they can live up to all the hype.
We have big international openings coming up in 2026, as well as some more local offerings that many are waiting for just as impatiently. Kebabs, seafood, steak, burgers and more are hopefully all on the menu for 2026 with lots of great restaurants planning on opening their doors within the next 12 months in Toronto.
Here’s a look at some restaurants that are expected to open in 2026.
5 – Hello Nori
This handroll bar chain with origins in British Columbia has been on a tear in Toronto lately, opening location after location. Their newest is slated to open in 2026 in the neighbourhood of Yorkville.
Expect unique bar service with luxurious handrolls made to order, with all kinds of premium seafood inside. Also, this newest location of Hello Nori should be just as beautiful as all the others, which are known for their stylish sense of interior design.
4 – Mozy’s Charcoal
Liberty Village has been hotly anticipating the opening of this charcoal chicken spot run by a top master chef that’s on track to open this month.
3 – Bar Allegro
This restaurant will be the new evolved concept of what came before it in the same space, Vinotecca Pompette. The Pompette team have shown they have a flair for reinvention, as this is the second time they’ll be revamping the concept of the restaurant, which started out French and then became French-Italian. Bar Allegro will now represent more of a nightlife vibe.
2 – Riley’s Fish & Steak
This British Columbia restaurant with a Michelin-level reputation has set their sights on opening their first location in Toronto this upcoming year. As the name suggests, expect seafood and steak served in a chill but refined atmosphere. Hopefully they’ll be opening at their location on Wellington Street West early in the year 2026.
1 – Bobby’s Burgers
This restaurant chain comes to us from the Bobby Flay – that’s right, the international celebrity chef you probably know from multiple hit Food Network shows. 2026 may just be the year he opens the very first restaurant in Toronto for his burger chain, Bobby’s Burgers.
