It’s time to pack the last things you want to do this August in Toronto into the remaining weeks of summer. Eat all the food, do all the activities and enjoy fun in the sun, because it’ll be fall before you know it.

Here are some of the fun activities going on this weekend in Toronto.


CNE

This annual event is one of the most highly anticipated of the summer in Toronto, and this year is no exception. Zany new food options like butter chicken corn dogs beckon along with rides, games and all kinds of end-of-summer fun.

Roller Skate Party

Food trucks, a DJ and a market with over 20 vendors are all part of this roller skating party at a unique location, situated under the Gardiner.

If you don’t have skates and protective gear, rentals are available on site.

When: August 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Bubble Planet Experience

This immersive experience allows you to explore different bubble worlds, each one more visually dazzling than the last. There are 11 different thematic environments including an LED room, “bubble ocean” and infinity room.

Island Eats Food Festival

Food from around the Caribbean plus drinks, desserts and live entertainment will bring the heat at this two-day festival. There will also be a market and you’ll be able to see some incredible costumes.

Taste of Manila

Live entertainers will perform music and comedy and there’ll be lots of great eats to try at this Filipino street festival.

Toronto’s Talent Music Series

Tyler Harrison will be playing live saxophone over tracks and then will be followed by DJ Rich Kidd on Aug. 17 for this series taking place at The Well. Check out the new development and chill out with some tunes.

When: July 6 to Aug. 31, Saturdays 2 to 4:30pm

Summer Music in the Park

Duffmusiq featuring Jeliz will play this outdoor music series on Aug. 16, David Celia and Co. will perform on Aug. 17 and Kubla will be playing on Aug. 18. Expect chill vibes with lots of smooth vocals and guitar.

When: June 14 to Sept. 2, Fridays 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
