All sorts of fun events are happening this weekend as August continues.

Make these summer days count with a visit to a market, or sample foods like tacos and jerk dishes, or Asian, Korean or Latin food. There are lots of ways to make this weekend a tasty one!

Bubble Planet Experience

This immersive experience allows you to explore different bubble worlds, each one more visually dazzling than the last. There are 11 different thematic environments including an LED room, “bubble ocean” and infinity room.

Picnic Under the Stars

Dine out on the street during this event raising funds for Second Harvest. The Feast of St. Lawrence Picnic Under the Stars is a multi-course picnic dinner for two.

An hors d’ouevre, salad, pasta, main and dessert are all provided by local businesses, and you can also purchase beer, wine and cocktails to complete the night.

JerkFest

If you love jerk flavours, this is the food festival for you. Aside from great food, the event also encompasses live performances, live cooking demonstrations and a meet and greet boat cruise.

Taco Fest

45 vendors, 250 varieties of tacos and 32 tequilas are supposed to be available at this massive festival celebrating a food everyone loves.

There will be off-menu items, limited edition collabs, live performances, a guac school, a hot sauce bar, and tequila and mezcal tasting,

Waterfront Night Market

This event encompasses a pan-Asian food festival, a floating lantern festival, an artisan showcase and live performances.

Smoke-A-Palooza

Free poutine, poutine eating contests, tribute bands and cold beer take over downtown Toronto for this event centred around Smoke’s Poutinerie.

Koreatown Street Festival

The first ever festival of its kind for the neighbourhood, this event is poised to transform a portion of the area into a hub for food, music, art and culture. Performances, activities, food and beverages will all be part of the fun.

Canadian Latin Festival

Food, music and more converge in one of Toronto’s largest downtown gathering spaces for this celebration of Latin culture happening this weekend.

Toronto’s Talent Music Series

As part of this music series at The Well, on Aug. 10, Caribbean steel drummer Carlis Mafram will be playing.

Summer Music in the Park

This series is running from June until September at Bellair and Cumberland in the Village of Yorkville Park. Jazz artist Cat Bernardi is playing on Aug. 9, Pablo Terry & Sol de Cuba play on Aug. 10 and Ori Dagan is playing Aug. 11.
