Coffee shops and horror movies both scream fall, so it’s the right time to check out Ontario’s very own creepy horror-themed coffee shop.

Coffin Creek Coffee deals in all things scary, as well as all things caffeinated. It’s a match made in hell, as both can keep you up late at night.

The interior space of the cafe is totally decked out in all kinds of horror-themed decor, with iconic figures from some of the most famous scary movies found all around the coffee shop.

They brew coffee made with their own house brand of Deadly Grounds Coffee beans, and naturally, they have a pumpkin spice flavoured coffee bean blend as well as a pumpkin spice chai.

Of course, it wouldn’t a horror-themed coffee shop without a whole range of eerie hot and cold drinks with all kinds of fun and freaky names.

For example, they have the caramel chocolate The Substance, the Camp Crystal Lake with marshmallow and white chocolate, and the Eleven which is flavoured like maple pancakes in a nod to the character from Stranger Things. Tea lattes aren’t left out of the picture, with options like the aptly named The Fog (a London Fog latte) and the Dammit Janet, a black tea latte with pumpkin and vanilla.

“It’s a boys’ Halloween weekend in upstate New York, at Scare-a-Con 2013. In a coffee-infused twist of fate, Brad Mavin crossed paths with Deadly Grounds Coffee for the first time. A lifelong coffee fiend, Brad couldn’t resist their wickedly delicious brews. It was love at first sip, and he knew then and there that he had to bring this caffeinated revolution to Canada. Fast forward a few years, and Deadly Grounds Coffee Canada was born,” reads the official website for Coffin Creek Coffee.

While we originally borrowed the Deadly Grounds name from the U.S., our company has always been proudly Canadian—our coffee has been roasted, packaged, and brewed in Canada since day one. The only thing we ever shared with the U.S. was the name. Every bag of coffee, every eerie blend, and every spooky sip has been crafted right here at home. But Brad couldn’t embark on this deadly journey alone. Enter Arielle Burton, another fearless soul with a taste for the unconventional. With Brad’s insatiable coffee cravings and Arielle’s sprinkle of madness, they became a more potent duo than a double espresso shot.”

Coffin Creek Coffee can be found at 1413 Durham Highway 2 Unit #6 in Courtice, Ontario.
