You’ve probably heard of Dubai chocolate, but what about Dubai croissant pizza?
While Dubai chocolate consists of flaky pastry mixed with pistachio to make a crunchy paste, usually stuffed inside a chocolate shell, Dubai croissant pizza incorporates similar flaky layers of a croissant into a thick, crispy pizza crust topped with lots of cheese and other ingredients.
If you head to Dubai, you can find these kinds of pizzas at places like Bakerist, but if you can’t afford the airfare there’s fortunately now a place in Toronto making these kinds of viral Dubai croissant pizzas.

Of course, where else would be taking on a croissant trend but Little Pebbles, the reigning champs of wacky croissants in Toronto? They’ve been known for their takes on previous croissant trends, like cube croissants, round spiral croissants and cookie croissants, so of course they’re ready to try their hand at the viral Dubai croissant pizza.
“We decided to create the croissant pizza as a fun way to combine two of our favorite things: the buttery, flaky texture of a French croissant with the comforting flavors of pizza,” Little Pebbles owner Sahil Garg tells YourCityWithIN.com.
“It’s something playful, unique, and very Little Pebbles. We love experimenting with crossover ideas that surprise people but also feel familiar.”

Little Pebbles is serving many varieties of their own take on the viral Dubai croissant pizza: Margherita, pepperoni, Garden Delight, Diavola, lox, gochujang pork belly, vodka verde, Hawaiian and more.
“What makes it special is the contrast: the crisp, airy layers of the croissant base paired with gooey cheese, rich sauce, and savory toppings. It’s indulgent but still light, and every bite has that buttery crunch people love from a croissant,” says Garg.
“We prepare it by laminating our croissant dough in-house, then shaping and baking it. Then add the pizza toppings. The process is a little more delicate than a regular pizza, but the result is worth it.”

So is the Dubai croissant pizza actually worth a try, or is just another trend that’s not actually worth the hype and looks better in social media videos than it tastes in real life?
“So far, the response has been fantastic! Customers have been really intrigued by the concept and often come in just to try it,” says Garg.
“It’s become one of our most talked-about items on social media, and people love sharing it because it’s both delicious and visually fun.”
The viral Dubai croissant pizza from Little Pebbles is only available at their College Street location.
