Love butter? Live in Canada? Well, then, you’re in luck, because the first ever butter-focused store in Canada is going to be opening in Ontario.
At least, that’s what they claim. Butter Bar is on a mission to open the first butter-focused store in Canada, and they’re going to be setting up shop in Port Credit.
“We will carry our full assortment of flavoured butters, including our seasonally rotated flavours, AND we will offer a unique selection of gourmet goods that pair perfectly with our flavoured butters, along with serve ware, linens, and fun butter themed items,” reads a post on social media from the Butter Bar account.
“This is the first BUTTER focused store in Canada for our butter lovers and foodies! We will offer gift curating in house, along with ready to enjoy entertaining boards!! There will be daily sampling of course, and we are also trying to focus on local and Canadian made partnerships and products as much as possible!”

The post has over 150 likes and over 50 comments on Instagram from excited butter fans who can’t wait to see the official Butter Bar store open its doors.
“HUGE congratulations to you,” reads one comment on the social media post on Instagram. “Such big news! You are going to do BIG things and you have the entire PC community behind you. Can’t wait to come shop!”
The new Butter Bar space is being designed by Aeon Design & Architecture Studio.
Butter Bar has already been in existence for a while now as a business, creating freshly churned butter and boards.
“Our butter bar creations are inspired by seasonal flavours and ingredients, and each bar of butter is freshly churned in small batches from local cream, to produce the most delicious butter experience,” reads the Butter Bar official website.
When it comes to the gourmet flavoured butters sold by Butter Bar, they’re far from your typical expected varieties. They’ve got options such as truffle garlic, basil lemon garlic, cinnamon sugar nutmeg, pepper garlic, thyme sage rosemary and even pumpkin spice maple.
The butter boards they put together come with your choice of butter bars that are already prepared on the board, a bamboo butter board, two butter spreaders, sliced french baguette and gluten free crackers, and seasonal vegetable and seasonal fresh herbs for garnish.
Butter Bar Gourmet Flavoured Butters is set to open in Port Credit this spring at 1006 Lagoon St.
