Restaurant for bao opening a brand new location in Mississauga

A bao restaurant with multiple locations is now landing in Mississauga.
Bao Mama has worked its way up from starting out as a tiny pop-up in Scarborough to now opening multiple locations, including their latest permanent spot opening soon.
They’re known for their Filipino-inspired bao with fillings like BBQ pork, chicken asado, Filipino birria, beef brisket asado and deep-fried pork hock. Bao Mama currently has locations in Oshawa at Market at 70 King and this summer in Toronto at Harbourfront.
They also serve fries, siomai and spring rolls on the side, and for dessert they’ve got slushies, sago, floats and turon.

Bao Mama has been through many challenges in order to get to this point, changing locations over the years and keeping the business alive all the while with constant pop-ups at various events, places and festivals. They were hit with tragedy a couple years back when a disastrous fire destroyed one of their previous locations.
Now, they’re back with a vengeance and are opening up another new permanent location.
The new Bao Mama location at Square One’s Food District should be opening fall 2025.
