A deli that’s known for making classic smoked meat, corned beef and roast beef sandwiches is now opening up a location that will be much more accessible to downtowners.

Dave’s Genuine Deli does way more than just sandwiches, though: they specialize in all kinds of iconic deli foods, like matzo ball soup, latkes, knishes and smoked salmon platters. Their original location can be found at 1763 Avenue Road, up near Yorkdale.

Dave’s owner Dave Isen has posted on LinkedIn that a Dave’s Genuine Deli & BBQ will be opening soon in downtown Toronto on King West, saying, “I’m thrilled to announce that we are counting down the days to opening our 2nd location.”

The purpose of the post is mainly to find a manager for the new location, ideally someone with front of house, back of house and management experience. The salary may pay up to $52,000 per year, and resumes can be submitted to [email protected].

For those of us who don’t have any restaurant management experience and are just looking forward to some potentially tasty eats, we shouldn’t have to wait long. Dave’s Genuine Deli should be opening in the King West neighbourhood around late June.
