A pasta lab that started out in a shipping container market has now opened a new permanent location in Toronto.
Sundays Pasta Lab specializes in eggless pasta made using durum semolina flour, made fresh every morning. Their comforting recipes served out of Stackt market have been taking the city by storm, leading them to open a second location.
The pasta concept allows you to build your own custom creation, with options for a range of pasta shapes, sauces, proteins, vegetables and toppings.
Choose from shapes like casarecce, campanelle or rigatoni, and then pick a signature sauce like their Sunkissed (pesto made with aged parmigiano reggiano reggiano, premium extra virgin olive oil, pistachios and sun-dried tomatoes), Umami Mami (truffle butter sauce with sauteed mushrooms) or their Sundays Best double braised mix of oxtail, short rib and chuck in tomato sauce with kefalotyri cheese that’s only available on, you guessed it, Sundays.
From there, protein and veggie options include chicken, shrimp, sausage, spinach and mushrooms, and you can always add extras like pistachios, truffle oil or garlic oil.
The new Liberty Village location of Sundays Pasta Lab is small but stylish with a little bit of minimal seating, and is decked out in their brand of pasta yellow.
Sundays Pasta Lab is now open in Liberty Village at 171 East Liberty St.
