What’s the only thing better than tacos? Why, free tacos, of course. And what’s even better than free tacos? Free tacos and beer.
A new taco restaurant is opening soon inside a brewery in Toronto, and they’re going to be celebrating by giving away free tacos.
Ghost Taco is a chain of taco restaurants in Ontario with locations in Newmarket, Vaughan, Peterborough, Kingston and Whitby, with more on the way.
“We started Ghost Taco as a pop-up after the pandemic forced our events business to close. We simply needed something to keep our staff on the job. The plan was always for Ghost Taco to disappear (hence the name),” reads the Ghost Taco site.
“But it didn’t take long to realize we were onto something special. We were slammed with orders every time we posted our hours, and people came from far and wide demanding to try GTA’s best tacos. We used the next two years to perfect our menu, our packaging, and our restaurants. And today, we’re building our very own taco empire.”

The brand also operates with the support of Toronto restaurateur Matt Basile, who’s known for his ultra-tasty comfort food.
Options on the menu for tacos include carnitas, Baja fish, chicken tinga, charred brussels, crispy Korean tofu, hot honey chicken and birria quesa. Some of their most popular options are the Alabama Chicken with ’Bama sauce and corn salsa, and the Vampire with fried cheese, pickled jalapeno, braised pork and sriracha aioli.
All those tacos should go great with the beer being served at the brewery where the newest Ghost Tacos will be opening in Toronto.
Ghost Tacos will be opening their newest outpost at craft brewery Something in the Water in Liberty Village. For their opening, the first 100 visitors will get a free taco.
Ghost Tacos at Something in the Water located at 151 East Liberty St. should be opening on Sept. 27.
