A new restaurant that functions as a mysterious upper floor supper club and cocktail lounge will soon be swinging open its doors in Toronto, with a menu designed by a prestigious Michelin-level chef featuring caviar service and bottle service.

“Powder Room is a posh cocktail lounge with live music and a street style Michelin-worthy food program,” reads the official website of new restaurant Powder Room.

“Curated by Michelin-recognized Chef Davide Ciavattella, Powder Room’s menu reimagines classic cravings with elegant flair—think oysters and caviar served with a wink, and couture-level wagyu hot dogs. World Class Global Bartender Jacob Martin leads the cocktail program, offering inventive drinks and elevated bottle service. Every bite and sip is meant to be savoured.”

When it comes to their caviar service, there are several options. You can go for a classic service of one caviar tin served with handmade gluten-free blinis, crème fraîche, mashed potatoes, red onion, egg yolk powder, and egg white powder, or a flight of caviar bumps, or a single bump. They’ll be serving a refined caviar selection of Imperial Kaluga, Siberian Baeri, Royale Ossetra, and one of the most luxurious varieties of caviar in the world, beluga.

From there, the menu moves on to small plates of Oysters Rockefeller, beef tartare and tuna crudo, and even fancy takes on chicken nuggets, mini hot dogs and potato chips.

There are just three mains on the menu: a Kobe tenderloin, a prime rib cheeseburger on a house made milk bun, and a tagliolini pasta made with 100 egg yolks and served with Normandy butter and aged Vacche Rosse parmesan.

A few little treats finish off the menu, including a take on a banana split with artisanal gelato, just to bring together the whole high-low theme of Powder Room.

Of course, it wouldn’t be much of a cocktail lounge without cocktails, and obviously they have to serve a signature martini: the Powder Martini is made with Ketel One vodka, Roku gin, sake, lemon brine and superchilled water. They also have an espresso martini made with frozen Ketel One, coffee amaro, burnt vanilla, black sugar and fresh espresso, and an “Aperol Glitz” made with Guava, elderflower, olive, Aperol and cava.

You will also be able to make reservations specifically for bottle service at Powder Room.

Powder Room will be located on the second floor of 129 Yorkville Ave. They should be opening their doors on Nov. 21.
