Matty Matheson just partnered with KFC for a limited time menu across Canada

Celeb chef Matty Matheson is at it again with another new collab, this time with international fast food fried chicken brand Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Matty Matheson is the owner of several restaurants in Toronto and a cast member on hit show The Bear, which centres around restaurant life. Now, he’s partnered with Kentucky Fried Chicken for a limited time menu.
The limited time menu lineup consists of a Matty Mega Melt Poutine, Matty Melt Sliders, a Matty Melt Sandwich and the Matty Mega Feast.
The Matty Melt Slider has a KFC’s Original Recipe chicken tender, cheese sauce, caramelized onions, and mayo, all on a sesame slider bun (available in a two for $6 deal or also as a combo).
The Matty Mega Melt Poutine rings in at $10 is made using KFC’s signature seasoned fries topped with cheese curds, gravy, cheese sauce, caramelized onions, and popcorn chicken. The Matty Melt Sandwich has a triple-breaded chicken fillet, cheese sauce, sweet caramelized onions, and mayo on a potato bun.
Matty Mega Feast comes with 10 pieces of KFC Original Recipe chicken, a large popcorn chicken, a Matty Mega Melt Poutine Bowl, two homestyle sides of your choice and three dips.
The items come in special packaging inspired by Matty Matheson’s signature tattoos, designed by a Toronto tattoo artist friend of his whose name is Alex Snelgrove.

On top of all that, KFC has also been teasing a rotating “Matty-approved” secret item that’s only available through the app each week.
To mark the special limited edition collab, KFC is also temporarily transforming its Dundas West location into “Matty’s KFC,” with free food giveaways and a meet-and-greet with Matheson on January 26.
While Matty Matheson may be sliding onto KFC menus for now, there are menus of his that will never be available again in Toronto, as a couple of his restaurants in the city have shut down recently.
Bar Clams closed down near the end of last year, and now Ca Phe Rang (inspired by his mentor) has closed too. He still operates other restaurants in Toronto: Prime Seafood Palace and Matty’s Patties.
Some of Matheson’s restaurants may have closed in Toronto, but he’s still been creating a buzz with this new limited time KFC menu and the recent debut of his new Netflix show, Just A Dash.
The menu is available nationwide until Feb. 22.
