Toronto’s magical original Christmas bar is back again this year, but now they’re swinging open the doors of an even more twinkly and bright second location that’s accessible to all ages.
Miracle has previously only taken up residence on Bloor Street West with a nineteen-plus pop-up, but now they’re opening up a brand new all-ages location this year at Harbourfront.
“Expect bold festive décor, photo-ready cocktails like the “Candy Cane Lane” and “Snowball Old-Fashioned,” a cheeky yet comforting food menu, and vibrant all-ages programming including Santa pancake brunches and post-skate treats,” reads the reservation page for Miracle on Harbourfront.
Of course, that means there will be even more to get excited about this year, beyond fun and fancy free Christmas cocktails. For starters, everyone who enters at both pop-ups will get free Kernels popcorn and a festive and kitschy light-up toque you can take with you beyond the experience.
Both pop-ups will be totally decked out in cheesy holiday decorations and will have a warm ambient vibe full of cheer, and walk-ins and reservations are available at both locations.
The best part about the Miracle pop-ups is that $1 of every drink sold and a portion of the door fees are donated to Nellie’s Women’s Shelter, which provides shelter, education and advocacy for women and children in the GTA.
If you’re still mainly interested in the cocktails that will be on offer during the holly jolly pop-up experience, never fear, there will still be plenty of those to go around at the bars to warm your belly.
There are cheery twists on classics like a Christmapolitan, Jingle Balls Nog and Hot Buttered Rum. Then there are creations all their own, like the almighty Christmasaurus with pineapple rum, mezcal, velvet falernum, apricot liqueur, lime, coconut milk, toasted cumin, coffee and pineapple syrup, and aromatic bitters.
There’s also the rye whiskey and gingerbread “Nice” shot, as well as, you guessed it, a “Naughty” shot with tequila, habanero, ginger and hibiscus.
There’s also the opportunity to take a piece of the pop-up home with you, and of course add to your collection of kooky glassware or pick up a holiday gift, with all kinds of fun mugs and glasses available for purchase.
The new all-ages Harbourfront location of the Miracle Christmas pop-up bar will be open at 235 Queens Quay W. at Boxcar Social Harbourfront from Nov. 20 until Dec. 28, Thursday to Sunday.
