An international chain of restobars centred around the game of darts will soon be opening their first ever Canadian location in Toronto.

When you think of darts, it might conjure images of smoky rooms with worn old dartboards, chalkboards for keeping score, sticky floors and pints of beer.

However, Oche is reinventing the way people see the game of darts, and the way they play it when they go out. Similar to the way bowling has gotten a sleek makeover at spots like Ballroom and The National, darts get a glow up at Oche with high tech dartboards, stylish surroundings, and a menu of fun food and cocktails.

Oche has locations around the world in Iceland, the UK, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Dubai, Singapore and Australia. Now, for the first time ever, they’re opening a location in Canada.

Games on offer at Oche are mostly based around darts with specific darts games you can opt to play, but they also have shuffleboard and karaoke. The food menu should combine British and Canadian influences, and cocktails, beer and wine should be available.

The Toronto location of Oche should be equipped with 13 dart booths, two shuffleboard tables and semi-private event areas.

Oche at 461 King St. W. in Toronto should be opening on June 10.
