This year’s list of Forbes Travel Guide Star Award Winners has come out for 2026, and it includes a whole bunch of spots located in the fair city of Toronto.

Thousands of properties are listed among the Forbes Travel Guide Star Award Winners, nearly 2,500, in fact. Of all those places around the world that the Forbes Travel Guide has deemed extra worthy of a visit, there are almost 20 on the list that can be found in the city of Toronto. These include spas, hotels and restaurants.

The places that made the list in Toronto fall under the 5-star, 4-star and recommended categories. The best part is, there are a ton of 5-star spots that are located in Toronto.

The 5-star spots that are listed as being in Toronto include the Four Seasons Hotel, The Hazelton Hotel, Shangri-La Hotel, The Spa at Four Seasons and The St. Regis.

The spots in Toronto that landed in the 4-star category are Canoe, Joni, Park Hyatt, The Ritz-Carlton, Scaramouche, Spa by Valmont at The Hazelton Hotel, Spa myBlend at The Ritz-Carlton and TOCA Restaurant.

When it comes to that recommended category, the Toronto spots named by Forbes are 1 Hotel, Cafe Boulud, Louix Louis and One Restaurant.

Almost all of the recommendations in Toronto from Forbes are clustered around the downtown area of the city, with the exception of just a few like Scaramouche. Canoe is right downtown on a high upper floor of a financial building and has a fantastic view of the city, and serves cuisine inspired by Canada’s local ingredients. Cafe Boulud is part of the formidable and internationally famous Daniel Boulud culinary empire.

Many of the restaurants and spas that made the list for Toronto are also located at some of the city’s best hotels.

“Now in its 68th year, the 2026 edition of the Star Awards is the most expansive yet, with FTG’s footprint growing to more than 100 countries and introducing new destinations such as Bhutan, Croatia, Poland, Tanzania and Uzbekistan,” reads the website for the Forbes Travel Guide.

“As always, FTG’s ratings are objective, independent and data-driven. Incognito inspectors pose as everyday guests—checking into hotels, boarding cruises, trying spa treatments and dining at restaurants—to test hundreds of exacting standards, and always paying for a stay. While the quality and condition of the facilities remain vital, exceptional service accounts for 70% of a property’s rating, reflecting the human element at the heart of luxury.”
