The waves of Beer Store closures in Ontario just keep coming, but fortunately this time only two should be closing in Toronto this September.

However, there are still plenty of other Beer Stores across Ontario that will unfortunately be shutting down in their communities.

The two Beer Stores that will be shutting down this month are located in Scarborough and on Greenwood in Toronto. Located at 4479 Kingston Rd. and 636 Greenwood Ave., these locations of the Beer Store will be shutting down on Sept. 14.

Other Beer Store locations that will be shutting down on that date are located at 2020 Appleby Line in Burlington, 3322 5 Hwy. #17 in Deep River, 229 Dundurn St. S. in Hamilton, 12334 Hwy. #41 in Northbrook, 1910 St. Laurent Blvd. in Ottawa, Erie St. S, #21 Hwy in Ridgetown, 41 Front St. in Sioux Lookout and 4681 Hwy # 7 in Unionville.

Unfortunately, that’s not all the Beer Store closures for September. There are many other Beer Stores in Ontario that will be shutting down later in the month.

The other Beer Stores that are closing in September in Ontario are located at 3025 Hwy. #169 in Bala, 10585 Bramalea Rd. in Brampton, 30 Mill St. in Clinton, 111 Main St. in Morrisburg, 49 Stover St. S. in Norwich, 35 Birks Dr. in Red Lake, 167 Queen St. in Rodney, 24585 Hwy. #7 in Sharbot Lake, 4145 Harold Ave in South Porcupine, 156 Mission Rd. in Wawa and 482 Josephine St. in Wingham.

The last day for all of those stores was Sept. 28.

“The Beer Store is adapting to changes in the retail market in Ontario. This is an ongoing process and includes making the difficult decision to close some retail locations. We know this is difficult for customers, employees and the communities where we operate,” said Ozzie Ahmed, Vice President Retail, TBS.

“As the Beer Store modernizes, we’ll continue to be the best place for ice-cold beer, friendly customer service and a deposit return system that gets consumers their money back.”
