CLOSURE: Spa just closed its doors after 20 years in Toronto

A spa and wellness space known for its hydro circuit and women-only policy has just announced they’ve closed down their original location.
Body Blitz Spa is known for their therapeutic waters circuit, which consists of a warm dead sea salt pool, hot epsom salt pool, cold plunge pool, eucalyptus steam room and infrared sauna.

Now, the spa has taken to social media to announce that they’ve closed their location found on Adelaide Street West.
“We closed the doors of our first Body Blitz Spa location (at 471 Adelaide St. W.) for the last time, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and filling this space with energy, kindness, and care over the years,” reads a post on social media from Body Blitz Spa.
“The memories made here will stay with us for a lifetime. This chapter ends with a full heart, and we carry it forward with deep appreciation for every person who walked through these doors. This isn’t goodbye. It’s see you at Body Blitz Spa East (497 King St. E.).”

The post has around 350 likes and many comments on Instagram from people who are sad to see the location of the spa on Adelaide Street West go, but are excited about the future of the Spa as it continues to operate at their location on King East.
“Thank you for holding space for all of us to heal and revive. See you at Body Blitz East,” one person wrote in a heartfelt comment.
One commenter on Instagram said they’ve “loved this place for years” and another person called it “my happy place.” Someone else commented saying they have “so many memories” of their time at the spa.
“My life will be different without you in my neighbourhood,” someone commented emotionally. “My friends and I come together, I started bringing my teen daughter this year. You will be missed at Portland and Adelaide.”
“This is so sad, like a closing chapter for me. I used to go here all the time to just relax, gather my thoughts alone or hang out there with friends for the last 15 years,” someone wrote in a long and sentimental comment. “This place brought such beautiful memories and will be forever missed. I’m glad the east side is still open where I can create new memories there.”
The last day for Body Blitz Spa on Adelaide Street West was Jan. 18.
