A restaurant and bar serving small plates and cocktails has announced they’re closing after just a year in business in Toronto.

Wolfie has been serving a tight selection of plates like olives, fries, bao, burgers and steak alongside signature cocktails out of a charming space in bustling Little Italy, but after operating for around a year they’re closing up shop.

“It’s been an honour to be part of College Street, even for a short while,” reads a post from the restaurant on social media.

“After an unforgettable year, we’re announcing the closure of Wolfie.
We’re deeply grateful for the memories, meals, and moments we’ve shared with you — our amazing guests, staff, and community. Though this chapter is closing, the memories and connections will stay with us always.”

The post has over 100 likes and about a couple dozen passionate comments on Instagram, with people commenting on how special the space was and how sorry they are to see it go.

While it’s sad to see Wolfie come to an end, not all is lost. It appears as though the team behind the restaurant are already at work on something new in the same space.

“Keep your eyes on 614 College — something new and exciting is on the way,” reads Wolfie’s post.

The last day for Wolfie will be May 24.
