CLOSURE: Restaurant for Mexican food has closed up shop in Toronto

A restaurant serving up Mexican food has announced they’ve now closed down.
TamalMex has been operating out of a stall in Toronto’s Hangout Street Market, an international food market that brings together multiple food vendors selling a variety of different cuisines. TamalMex specialized in items like empanadas and tamales.
Now, they’ve taken to social media to announce that they’re exiting the market, closing down the stall.
“We would like to inform you that we have closed our store located at 181 Parliament St.,” reads a social media post from TamalMex. “This decision has not been easy but it is part of a new chapter for TamalMex.”

Hopefully not all is lost for fans of TamalMex, because the post goes on to say that they’ll continue to do delivery and will “be sharing news soon about what’s next.”
People have commented on the post saying they’re sad to see the street food spot go, with one person saying it was their favourite in the city and they hope TamalMex finds a permanent home soon.
TamalMex stopped serving at Hangout Street Market on May 2.
