CLOSURE: Restaurant for Cuban food closing after over a decade in Toronto

A Cuban restaurant just announced they’ll soon be closing down in Toronto after 13 years in business.
La Cubana has multiple locations, but one of them will soon be no more. The restaurant is known for their representation of Cuban food in the city, including popular sandwiches like their signature Cubano.
They also serve small snacks like croquetas and empanadas, and larger Cuban plates like grilled fish, pork shoulder and beef short rib.
The restaurant took to social media to announce the closure of their Roncesvalles location.
“We want to thank everyone who has been a part of our Roncesvalles community,” reads the announcement.
“From after school bites, special milestones, and regular drop ins for a yummy plate, we want to thank you all for making our time on Ronce one we will remember.”

While La Cubana may have closed one of their locations in Toronto, they’ve recently opened a new one that’s outside the city entirely. They’re now operating at Base 31 in Prince Edward County, a cultural hub at a former military base.
Torontonians need not worry, however, as La Cubana’s locations on Ossington and at The Well are still open.
The last day for La Cubana on Roncesvalles will be Sept. 27.
