A venue that’s been entertaining music fans for decades has announced their long history is coming to an end.
Velvet Underground has played host to all kinds of acts over the years, from local bands to world class artists. Now, the club has taken to social media to announce their closure.
“After many unforgettable years on Queen Street West, our time is coming to a close,” reads a post from Velvet Underground.
“While we’re closing this door, we’re grateful for the countless nights filled with music and amazing energy that brought this space to life. To the fans, artists, staff, and community – thank you. You made this place more than a venue. You made it a home for memories we’ll never forget.”
