A clothing maker who created the most unique upcycled pieces has now announced that they will be closing down their brick and mortar store in Toronto.
Revamped Clothing has a mission to reduce textile waste by repairing and “revamping” the clothes in your already existing wardrobe that may just need a little extra tender loving care. They specialize in custom items, streetwear and repairs with a motto of “Use what you have, preserve what you love.”
“Revamped is run and curated by fashion designer, Katherine Duffin. Each piece is made out of one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, that tell more than a story. Revamped garments are repurposed and brought back to life through reclaimed, sustainably friendly materials that make more than just a statement,” reads the Revamped Clothing website.
“With an eye for life in pre-existing garments and trends, Katherine has been channeling her passion in the area of fashion redesigning, for 10 years.”
Revamped Clothing recently took to social media to announce that they would be closing down their brick and mortar store in Toronto in order to move on to the next chapter of their story with the business.
“At the end of this month, I’ll be closing the doors to my brick & mortar shop, 1652 Queen st west. This isn’t a goodbye — just a shift. I’ll still be creating one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces, doing custom work, and dreaming up the future of Revamped but for now, I’ll be working from home while I figure out the next steps. To celebrate everything we’ve built together (and to lighten my load for the move), I’m offering a 50% OFF SALE on all ready-made garments in-store and online,” reads a social media post from Revamped Clothing.
“This isn’t the end of Revamped, it’s a chance to reimagine what comes next. Thank you for standing with me, for wearing my work, and for making this journey possible. Love You Parkdale. And will certainly see you around the hood! Please reach out for any projects you’d like to get into…I’m reeeaadddyyy.”
The 50 per cent off sale will run at Revamped Clothing until the end of the month, and can be accessed in person at the Queen West shop in Parkdale until it closes, or you can shop the sale online.
The brick and mortar store location of Revamped Clothing on Queen West in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood will be closing around the end of September, though the business will continue operating.
