An ice cream parlour has just announced that they’re unfortunately closing down after just a few months, following taking over the business from owners who had success with the concept.
Pink Elephant Creamery was the new iteration of Creamery X, which was known for their bold and inventive flavours and tasty, quality ice cream. The venture as a whole actually won awards for their ice cream and gelato.
As Pink Elephant Creamery, the business was doing their best to carry the torch forward with exciting ice cream flavours made expertly.
“After 4 incredible years, it’s bittersweet to announce that Creamery X has been sold. Thank you for all of your enthusiasm and support for our little ice cream shop. We are excited to welcome a new owner, who is bringing in a new brand and a new direction,” read a post from Creamery X on social media when they announced their closure about a year ago.
“Creamery X will become Pink Elephant Creamery. While Pink Elephant will retain our recipes, they are free to change them or retire them as they wish.”
Pink Elephant Creamery offered options like cotton candy, New York cheesecake and matcha strawberry ice cream. However, they’re choosing to no longer carry on with their attempts to take over the ice cream business.
The post said the business has been sold to a new owner who trained with Creamery X before taking over and running the new shop with his family. He’s a graduate of Carpigiani Gelato University and has previously owned several franchises.
“Excitingly, Pink Elephant may also launch additional lines, such as breakfast and other baked goods,” read the post from Creamery X. “Keep an eye out! We will miss all of our regulars and the creativity Creamery X has allowed us, but are looking forward to our next chapter. Thank you all again for everything.”
Now, Pink Elephant Creamery has announced that they’ll no longer be moving forward with the ice cream parlour.

“After a memorable few months of scooping and serving you at Pink Elephant Creamery, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors,” reads a closure announcement post from the ice cream parlour business.
“While we are sad to say goodbye, we are immensely grateful for the incredible support and warm welcome you’ve given us. Thank you for every visit!”
The last day of business for Pink Elephant Creamery on Queen Street East will be Oct. 19.
