A hair salon has announced that they’re closing their doors in Toronto and the owner is moving into a new studio.
Headbangers Hair Salon dubs itself a “rock n’ roll hair salon” specializing in cuts like shags and mullets. The salon recently took to social media to let people know they’re migrating to a new space.
“This was absolutely heartbreaking for me after everything I went through to keep this space. Due to the commercial rent increase, it is no longer possible for me to operate at this location. I have been forced to close my doors,” reads a post from the owner of Headbangers.
The post quickly continues on to say that although there’s heartache, all is not lost for the salon.
“This summer marks five years of my salon being open. My business Headbangers Hair Salon means everything to me,” reads the post.
“I built it from the ground up and I’ve been fighting hard to keep it open…it’s my baby!! These last months have been incredibly stressful but I am now so relieved and thankful I am able to keep my small business alive and put Headbangers Hair Salon in The Suite House.”
The Suite House is a private salon and wellness studio in Leslieville that’s opening a new Ossington location where Headbangers will be moving in. Books are already open for their move-in date of July 9.
The last day for Headbangers Hair Salon on Dundas West will be June 30.
