The operations of a Canadian clothing retailer have slowly ground to a halt as they’ve closed all stores and are saying “be back soon.”
Frank and Oak officially let their customers know last month that they would be closing down all their physical stores and online retail.
The brand is a certified B Corp with origins in Montreal, known for their stylish basics that embraced minimalism and function, offered at a mid-range price point.
“From our humble beginnings as a menswear website and our original Atelier in the Mile End, to serving customers from around the world, we couldn’t have done it without you,” reads a social media post made by Frank and Oak in late April.

The same post says all stores closed due to a restructuring of the business, and in their last days inventory was sold off for deep discounts.
Following their closure, Frank and Oak put out a final thank you message on social media.
“We have reached the end of this chapter, but the story of Frank And Oak is far from over. While our online and retail stores are now closed, we are working hard with new partners to determine a better future for the brand, and we hope to come back stronger than ever,” reads their post.
“As always, we will share news of our future plans with our community when the time is right, and appreciate your continued patience as we navigate the road ahead.”
