A shop known for serving up patties and ice cream has just shut down one of their locations.
Patty Cake & Ice Cream served a unique menu combining halal Jamaican patties, cheesecake, and ice cream with Island flavour influences. They also served jerk chicken, pasta and sandwiches.
They’ve been operating two locations, one at 2602 Eglinton Ave. E. and the other at 545 Keele St. Now, they’re back down to just one location.
The shop quietly announced in an Instagram story that they had closed down their spot on Keele.
“Unfortunately Patty Cake & Ice Cream has closed,” reads the story. “I’m sorry for any inconvenience.”
While Patty Cake still has their Eglinton location, the story says they’re hoping to find another location they can move to in order to serve their customers.
In the meantime, Patty Cake can still be ordered for online delivery through apps, and they can also be booked to cater events.
Staff confirmed with YourCityWithIN.com that the Keele location of Patty Cake & Ice Cream closed about a week ago.
