A store in Toronto has lost the bar inside as it has permanently closed up shop.
The Longo’s grocery store in Liberty Village once played host to a bar inside called Corks, but now that bar has closed permanently.
In one corner of the grocery store where there’s a Kitchen Hub and sitting area, there used to also be a bar with a long countertop, beer on tap and stools. Now, that area currently has signage up on the taps saying the bar has permanently closed.
The bar was a unique concept for Longo’s, as not many grocery stores in Toronto typically also have bars where you can order drinks inside of them.
The Longo’s in Liberty Village currently sells alcoholic beverages to go including beer, wine and ready-to-drink cocktails. The Longo’s location also contains a Starbucks and a Bento Sushi counter.
Corks is still listed as being open at Leaside, Maple Leaf Square, and Yonge and Sheppard locations of Longo’s on their website.
Corks in the Longo’s in Liberty Village closed around the end of April.
