An espresso bar in Toronto is shutting their doors for good after 12 long years in business.
Cafe Con Leche just posted an announcement to their Instagram saying that they have decided not to renew their lease. The coffee shop sold coffee, cold drinks, pastries, food and pantry staples, and was a well-loved community hub.
The post has hundreds of likes and is flooded with comments from people saying how bittersweet this news is.
“We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our loyal customers and suppliers for your unwavering love and support over the years. We’ve had the privilege of meeting and serving wonderful families, new and old businesses, and creating cherished memories,” reads the post.
“We also want to take this opportunity to thank all of our team members both past & present. We could have not done this alone.”
In addition to running the cafe, owners Carlos and Sandra Flores are also behind No. 7 Mexican Hot Sauce, and will continue to operate that business.
The space is already set to turn into something else, with Monte Bakery slated to take over and sell their popular pastries at the Junction Triangle spot.
The last day for Cafe Con Leche will be June 30.
