A unique new concept has opened its doors to the food lovers of Toronto: a totally airplane themed cafe and cocktail lounge.
Flymood has softly opened its doors in Toronto, bringing an unusual new concept to a city that has seen pretty much everything. With a poop themed cafe, a unicorn themed cafe, an entirely pink cafe and even doughnut shops staffed by real life angels with actual wings, it was only logical that it wouldn’t be long before an airplane themed cafe opened its doors in the city.
The look of Flymood brings the theme together with an airplane design on the ceiling and little design features that are meant to look like the windows of a plane.
They serve a cafe menu that starts off with relatively standard coffee house drinks like cappuccinos, cortados and iced Americanos, but branches out from there to include some far more creative coffee drinks.
Those include an iced Spanish latte layered with cold milk and sweetened condensed milk, an iced banana latte, an iced tiramisu latte, an iced Cinnamon Dolce latte, Espresso Con Panna topped with decadent rich whipped cream, a toasted marshmallow latte, and sand brewed Turkish coffee, as well as iced matcha lattes, strawberry matcha lattes and lavender Earl Grey matchas. They even have coconut matcha served in a coconut cup.
Their desserts are as eye popping as their concept, with options that include a flaky crunchy pistachio Turkish baklava topped with vanilla ice cream and pistachio sauce, a berry cheesecake, a hazelnut cheesecake, a pistachio cheesecake, a kanafeh cup, rice pudding, a kanafeh stuffed croissant, pistachio croissant, chocolate croissant and even hand stuffed medjool dates with assorted fillings such as almond, pistachio, peanut butter, dried fruits and more.
Their piece de resistance might just be their Chocolate Mousse Teddy Bear Cake, which is a silky, velvety, melt in your mouth chocolate mousse teddy bear cake shaped just like a cute little bear that’s almost too adorable to eat.
As for food options, those should be coming soon with all kinds of options slated for the menu for breakfast, cocktail lounge snacks, appetizers and salads.
So if you’re looking to feel like you’re flying high in the sky above it all but don’t want to spend the money on a plane ticket, consider a visit to this new cafe themed all around air travel.
Flymood is now open at 533 Bloor St. W.
