We love dining outdoors in Toronto, so it’s exciting to hear that a new summer destination for eating out in the open air is launching soon.
Evergreen Brick Works is launching Outdoor Eats this week, a seasonal outdoor dining experience that promises to showcase the diversity of Toronto’s local food scene. There will be busker-style performers playing live music to contribute to a street festival vibe.
Vendors for Outdoor Eats include Kumain Kitchen, Little Sizzle, Magic Oven, Choco Churros, House of Empanadas, Slow Jams, Born2Eat, Gebeta, Sumo Seafood, Nuttea, Crepe de la Crepe, Tropical South and Nana’s Gelato, and you’ll be able to chow down on cuisines like Caribbean, Ethiopian, Cuban, Korean, Filipino and South American food.
The event series will run Thursday through Sunday during the summer, with a happy hour every Thursday and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the “sipping container” with $2 off beer and wine during June and July and $8 cocktails in August.
The best part is, not only is Outdoor Eats dog friendly, they’re actually celebrating dogs with a special Bark Works mini market with doggie goodies every other Friday on July 5, July 19, Aug. 2, Aug. 16 and Aug. 30.
Outdoor Eats will officially launch on June 28 with a party with food, drinks and a DJ. Outdoor Eats will also host a one-off pop-up backyard party called the Molson Canadian Roaming Backyard with samples, games and giveaways on June 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Outdoor Eats is open Thursdays to Sundays from June 28 to Sept. 2 with hours from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
