A new multi-level destination that contains a total of four concepts in one place just opened in Toronto.
Portland Square encompasses a dive bar, event space, Chinese restaurant and Italian restaurant crowned with a rooftop patio.
The Chinese restaurant is called Honey Chinese, located on the third floor of the building. Expect takes on familiar nostalgic Canadian Chinese cuisine: think orange sauces and fortune cookies. The space is influenced by 1960s Asian cinema with touches like velvet, lacquer and red lanterns, and was designed by award-winning studio Nivek Rimas.

Primadonna is the Italian restaurant which encompasses the top fourth floor area and rooftop. The menu centres around Italian American comfort food, and the concept is brought to life with design features like banquettes and vintage art.
The second floor event space called the Portland Room is designed to cater to a versatile array of event types, and a country sports bar called Rodeo Dive on the ground floor is slated to open in the fall. With vintage Western touches, the dive bar should be equipped with a stage for live performances when it opens.
“Portland Square marks an exciting new chapter for King West, right at its hottest intersection,” says Charles Khabouth, CEO and founder of INK Entertainment, in a release.
“It’s four fun worlds, one destination. Every detail, from the carefully sourced ingredients on each menu to the striking murals and interiors, has been thoughtfully curated to create an atmosphere that feels bold, fresh, fun, and distinctly King West. With this multi-level dining destination, we’re proud to offer an experience that we believe will become the new heartbeat of King West.”

The concept comes to us from INK Entertainment, which is also responsible for Akira Back, Cabana Poolbar, Sofia, Amal, Byblos and their most recent project Vinny.
Portland Square is now open at 600 King St. W.
